The upcoming 44th Meeting of the CETAF Governing Board will take place on 14-15 November 2018 at the Plant Science and Biodiversity Centre of the Slovak Academy of Sciences in Bratsilava, Slovakia.

ICEDIG, a European project with strong involvement from CETAF and its member institutions, promotes innovation and consolidation in digitisation of Natural History Collections by making its project results openly available for all interested readers.
New outcomes will be published intermittently on the ICEDIG website and other Academic Social Networks such as ResearchGate or Zenodo as soon as they become available.

On Tuesday 11 September DiSSCO was officially introduced as a priority Research Infrastructure on the 2018 European roadmap during the ESFRI Launch Ceremony at the Aula der Wissenschaften in Vienna.

Great news reached the CETAF offices late last week as two more of the projects proposals CETAF had teamed up for haven been successfully evaluated for funding by the European Commission. Both projects, SYNTHESYS+ and ENVRI-FAIR will in their own ways contribute to the further development of the research landscape in the environmental domain and support the development of the research infrastructure DiSSCo.

SAVE THE DATE: From 21 to 25 October 2019, CETAF will, together with DiSSCo, TDWG, and GBIF organise the BIODIVERSITY_NEXT conference at the Naturalis Biodiversity Center in Leiden, The Netherlands.

Late on Friday (29/06) afternoon CETAF received the great news that ESFRI has formally accepted the DiSSCo initiative on its 2018 roadmap update, making European Natural Science Collection a recognised priority research infrastructure, supporting scientific excellence and innovation towards urgent societal challenges.
